6 October 2023 - 8 October 2023

Location

6 - 8 October 2023 | CONFLUENCE: Earthside Exchange, South Hobart.
Hearts, hands and minds for takayna, is an ode to the Bob Brown Foundation’s efforts in protection and preservation of takayna, The Tarkine Wilderness; a delicate and magnificent piece of Earth.

Curated by Mahalia in collaboration with the artists, the exhibition instigates the coming together of people, communities and creativity as a conduit of continued momentum towards awareness and action. Over three days, a program of art, music and workshops will contribute to the sharing of knowledge and support of the Bob Brown Foundation’s ongoing work within takayna.

This collaborative exhibition included art and workshops by Bianca Yrure, Kajeera Jenkins and Kate Shaw. Photos in this gallery are credited to Kajeera Jenkins Fine Art Photography.

I acknowledge the palawa people as the traditional and continuing custodians of lutruwita, Tasmania, where I live and work. I acknowledge that this is stolen land, never ceded. I pay my respects to elders past and present, and all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples whom my work may reach.
